They only kicked off the American leg of their On The Road Again tour on Thursday night.

But One Direction's Harry Styles ensured he was the centre of attention for all the wrong reasons as he took an epic tumble off the stage at the Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California.

Dragging his microphone across the performance space and throwing up some fist-pumps, the 21-year-old hearthrob proved his ability to multi-task isn't the greatest as he took a giant fall in front of the screaming crowd.

But just seconds later it was the Story Of My Life crooner who was in the air, much to the amusement of the crowd and his three bandmates Liam Payne, 21, Louis Tomlinson, 23, and Niall Horan, 21.

It certainly wasn't a clean fall either, as a small trip - which he attempted to even out with a Matrix style lean - eventually saw the long-haired heartthrob run head-first into the set.
