One safe Hans replaces another as Tottenham appoint new goalkeeping coach

Tottenham have appointed 35-year-old Hans Leitert from Recreativo Huelva as
their new goalkeeping coach to work with out of favour England shotstopper Paul Robinson.

The White Hart Lane club previously had Dutch goalkeeper Hans Segers as goalkeeping coach until October 2007 when he was asked to stand down following the sacking of Martin Jol.

Sporting director Damien Comolli said of Austrian Leitert: "He is a forward-thinking coach who likes to employ new methods, a very enthusiastic individual who has lived and worked in different countries with different influences.

"He joins us with glowing references and an excellent reputation."
