She has made no secret of her past battles with the bulge.

The former Steps singer Claire Richards looked slimmer than ever as she made an entrance at a beauty launch in London on Thursday night.

Slipping her new slender shape into a fitted teal lace dress, the 37-year-old looked sleek and stylish as she made her way to The Playboy Club for the launch of the Rosinas Lotions and Potions range.

With her hair cut into a flattering bob shape, Claire beamed as she showed off her impressive new look as she walked in.

Since shifting the weight, the mum-of-two has insisted she finally thinks she's got a hold of yo-yo dieting which she has struggled with in the past.

She told Reveal magazine: 'I hope I've broken the cycle, but I think I've learned my lesson by saying, "This time it's for good."

'There is always a possibility that I could be a size 16 again in a year's time. I'm just taking each day as it comes.

'Portion sizes have always been my downfall. I never needed to eat the amount of food I did – I eat a fraction of what I used to now.'

Claire has been honest about how a desire to conceive a third child propelled her to start her latest weightloss journey.

However, after shedding six stone in a relatively short time, the pop star soon faced speculation she was unwell.

Speaking to Best, she explained: ''I have nothing to hide, so let's draw a line under all these rumours – I'm a size 10, not a size 6. I don't think I look unhealthy.'

Alongside Claire at the launch was Casey Batchelor, who donned a tiny pair of white hotpants for the occasion.

Claire Sweeney also stepped out at the event, her second public appearance since it was confirmed she had split from her partner Daniel Reilly.
