Rare photos of The Beatles that were recently uncovered show John, Paul, George and Ringo as they lounge poolside in Miami back in 1964.
The photos were taken during the Fab Four's first trip to the United States, and after they made their now legendary first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show.
It was one week later to be exact, and shortly before the young men made their second appearance on Ed Sullivan, playing this time from the Deauville, their hotel in Miami.

CBS News reports that the planned photoshoot ran into some problems when a local DJ revealed when the group would be landing, and they were quickly mobbed by fans.
So instead of the original plan to shoot at the Deauville, the shoot was moved to a private home.
That home belonged to Paul Pollak, a hotel owner, and his wife Jerri Pollak, a former big band recording artist, according to Time.

'That captured moment became my favorite photograph. It hangs in my gallery today.'

No was likely more excited however than Linda Pollak, the daughter of the owners who was just 15-years-old at the time.
She said in a 1989 interview that she and her brothers even helped out during the shoot.
'The photographers asked my three brothers and me to get into the pool first, so they could focus,” she told the Chicago Tribune.
'Then the Beatles tiptoed in to take our positions … They started splashing and goofing around, except John.
'He got out of the pool and sat in the back with his wife, Cynthia, just watching. Even then he wasn’t much for publicity.'

Pollak also said during that interview that even though 25 years had passed she still 'remembered it like it was yesterday.'
The photos never did make it into Life, but now they are out for fans to finally enjoy.
As for their Ed Sullivan appearance that night, it was was watched by an estimated 70 million people in 22,445,000 homes.
