Cech convinced Blues brother Lampard will stay at Chelsea

Petr Cech is sure Frank Lampard will stay at Chelsea for at least another year. The Blues goalkeeper wasted no time in committing his future to the club after the arrival of new boss Luiz Felipe Scolari as he signed a new five-year deal earlier this month.

Lampard's situation is less clear after Inter Milan, led by former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, expressed an interest in the England midfielder as he moves into the final year of his deal at Stamford Bridge.

But Cech is convinced Lampard will at least see out his contract and hopes he might even sign up for the longer term.

Asked whether Lampard will stay, Cech said: 'He has one year left on his contract - so that's for sure.

'I hope they will find an agreement with the club and he will stay more than one year.
He's really one of the key figures in our team over the last five years. So it's always important to keep players like that, especially when he can 20 goals a season from midfield.'
