Harry Redknapp has refuted claims Portsmouth owner Alexandre Gaydamak gave the players a dressing down after the 6-0 thrashing at Manchester City on Sunday.

The Pompey boss admitted Gaydamak  visited the away dressing room after the final whistle at Eastlands but insisted they didn't discuss the defeat.

'Absolute rubbish, you couldn't meet a man who is a better fella to work for than the owner of this club,' Redknapp told the Telegraph.

'He never comes in the dressing room. He came down 40 minutes after the game because he was looking for the people he came up with on a private plane and he just happened to walk in the dressing room.

'He didn't even discuss the game with me - he is the last person in the world to do that.'
