'They tell me I need to eat a sandwich': Jaime King shares the hurtful comments she's received about her thin pregnancy body

Because of her past infertility struggles, Jaime King is thankful to be carrying a healthy baby for the second time.

But the 36-year-old actress shared with American Baby magazine that it's not always easy to deal with hurtful body shaming comments while pregnant.

'People have made comments about how I'm too thin and need to eat a sandwhich,' the mother-of-one said in the August issue.

Jaime - who is due in August - tries not to let the negative remarks get to her, but she knows not everyone can take the high road.

'I've seen it happen with other pregnant women in this business too - we're either too thin or put on too much weight,' she said.

'But every woman's body is different,' she continued. 'All that matters is that you're taking care of the nutrition for yourself and your child.'

One piece of advise the BFF of Taylor Swift dished out was similar to the Golden Rule.

'Don't let other people get you down, and don't put other women down either,' she recommended. 

Another important tip: 'Sleep when your baby sleeps!'

Jaime learned the trick to a good rest while parenting her eldest child, one-year-old son James Knight.

'Even now that James Knight is older, I know that if I'm too tired between 10:30am and noon, I can lie down and take a nap when he's napping.'
