SUNDERLAND v Bolton: Gordon won't play for hosts despite training this week

Sunderland keeper Craig Gordon will not make Saturday's Barclays Premier League
clash with Bolton despite his return to training.

The £9million signing has missed the last seven games with a cracked ankle bone, and is close to a return, but like defender George McCartney (foot), Saturday's game will come too soon for him.

Pascal Chimbonda, El-Hadji Diouf and Daryl Murphy, who played for the reserves

three successive home defeats.

Provisional squad: Fulop, Colgan, Bardsley, Chimbonda, Ferdinand, Nosworthy,
Collins, Malbranque, Whitehead, Tainio, Leadbitter, Edwards, Miller, Yorke, Richardson, Reid, Henderson, Colback, Diouf, Cisse, Jones, Murphy, Healy.
