'The final decision belongs to the board of Sevilla.'

Fabiano scored 24 goals for Sevilla last season - two were penalties - but his relationship with coach Manolo Jimenez is strained.

The Brazilian left training yesterday after a row with Jimenez and would welcome the chance to partner Robinho at City.

Ramon Rodriguez Verdejo, Sevilla's sporting director, said: 'If any offer is made we shall study it.'

Sevilla have so far resisted all approaches, with Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham and Everton among the English teams previously linked with him.

Kaka yesterday admitted he would like to play in the Barclays Premier League and had asked Robinho what life was like at Eastlands.
