New Barcelona signing Arda Turan was all smiles as he was pictured next to the club crest on his first day, but admitted to being nervous.

The 28-year-old was shown round the city by officials as they discussed the potential options for where he could live, pointing out that Lionel Messi and Javier Mascherano both live by the sea.

After sealing a dream move to the Catalan giants, he arrived in Spain on Thursday and was all smiles as he was pictured next to the Barcelona club crest.

Turan will join on a five-year deal after Barcelona agreed a £29million deal with Atletico Madrid. 

The midfielder is set to be officially unveiled by the club on Friday, where he will be presented to the media and will set foot on the Nou Camp turf for the first time as a Barca player.

But he will not be able to play until the club's transfer ban - imposed for irregularities in signing young players - is lifted in January.
