Holloway, of Survivor fame, and Callies, of The Walking Dead, bring plenty of TV experience to the project.
In Colony, Josh stars as an 'FBI agent determined to reunite his family after an alien invasion separates him and his wife (The Walking Dead’s Sarah Wayne Callies) from their son,' reports Variety.
Carlton Cuse - who previously worked with Josh on ABC's Lost - is an executive producer on the series.
Ryan Condal, known for Hercules, is also an executive producer.

At Comic-Con, fans were able to take a peek at the sci-fi trailer, as well as watch the first 11 minutes of the programme.
The almost 3-minute trailer leaves viewers on the edge of their seats, as it's filled with tense relationships, an eerie soundtrack, and frightening sights.
In February, Deadline reported that network had picked up the series for 10 episodes.

Fans: The beauty was seen signing autographs for doting onlookers
Carlton previously spoke about what it was like to work with Josh again - after the two had teamed up for Lost from 2004 to 2010.
'It's wonderful. We became good friends over the course of making of Lost. He's a genuinely good dude,' he told USA Today.
'That's rare and valuable. And he's perfect for this part.'
Colony will make its debut on USA mid-October.
