We can defy the odds and win the Super League, claims Hull KR boss Morgan

Hull KR coach Justin Morgan has claimed his side can defy odds of 66-1 by winning the engage Super League this year.

Rovers, who begin their third season since returning to the top flight at Bradford on February 15, has never even appeared in the play-offs before.

But after improving from 11th in 2007 to finish seventh last year, Morgan believes his team are heading upwards.

Morgan said: 'I don't think it is beyond us. It might be a bold statement but if I don't say we can win, I think I may be selling the players a bit short.'

'It might be a bold statement but if we are in January and I am not saying we can win the comp, then I think I may be selling the players a bit short.  

'I have got to show them the faith that I think they can win the competition. You only get one chance every 12 months.'
