Former 100m world champion Collins set for Glasgow bow

Former 100metres world champion Kim Collins will make his first appearance in
Scotland when he competes for the Commonwealth Select team at the Aviva
International in Glasgow this weekend.

The 32-year-old from St Kitts & Nevis, who came sixth in the 200m Olympic final in Beijing, will contest the 60m and 200m.

Collins will be joined by the reigning world indoor 400m champion, Tyler Christopher of Canada, and South Africa's 2008 Olympic long jump silver medallist Godfrey Mokoena.

The five-nation competition at the Kelvin Hall will feature one athlete in each event from the Commonwealth Select team, hosts Great Britain & Northern Ireland, Germany, Sweden and USA.
