It's a worry for Wayne Bridge as Manchester City defender faces three weeks out injured

By Sportsmail Reporter

Wayne Bridge will be out for up to three weeks after damaging medial knee ligaments against his old club Chelsea.

The Manchester City defender was carried off after a collision with substitute Juliano Belletti and manager Mark Hughes said: 'We hope it's nothing more serious.'

The prognosis for his friend John Terry was more encouraging. The sight of the Chelsea captain being substituted would have had fans worried as he seldom comes off through injury.

But the bandage on his knee as he stood next to the dugout at Eastlands was no great cause for concern.

Terry is set to miss tomorrow's Champions League game against Apoel Nicosia but the 'knock' will not keep him out of next week's Premier League match against Everton.
