Raheem Sterling's imminent record-breaking £49million transfer to Manchester City will provide a very timely boost for recently-relegated Queens Park Rangers.
Liverpool have accepted an initial bid of £45m from their Premier League rivals, with a further £4m in add-ons, and QPR are set to pocket £9m from the deal.
The Reds signed Sterling as a 15-year-old from the west London club for an initial fee of £400,000 in 2010, but there was also a 20 per cent sell-on clause inserted into the deal set up by Frank McParland - who is currently Director of Football at Burnley.

It is in stark contrast to the scout who alerted QPR to Sterling in the first place, who received just £50 for his trouble.
Sterling never played for QPR, but has since gone on to make 129 appearances for Liverpool, including 95 in the Premier League, since making his debut as a 17-year-old in 2012.
The deal will see Sterling become the most expensive English footballer of all time, ahead of Andy Carroll, whom Liverpool stumped up £35m for in 2011.
While the 20-year-old will also become the second-priciest British player ever, after Real Madrid paid £86m for Gareth Bale in 2013.
The transfer fee will also be the third-most paid by an English club, behind Angel di Maria's £60m move to Manchester United last summer, and the £50m Chelsea paid for Fernando Torres in 2011.
City's current record buy is Sergio Aguero, who arrived at the Etihad Stadium in 2011 for £38m.

The Reds headed off on their pre-season tour of Asia on Sunday, but Sterling was left behind on the same day the offer was accepted.
Manchester City had previous offers of £35m and £40m rejected for the 20-year-old, as Liverpool held out for their £50m valuation.
