Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure returned to the Manchester City line-up this
afternoon as Mark Hughes' men looked to cement their place in the Premier
League's top four by beating Burnley at Eastlands.

Stephen Ireland was also included in place of Nigel de Jong as Hughes went for
an attacking approach in a bid to end a run of four successive draws.

Burnley had their own sequence to alter, having lost every away match so far,
former City defender Stephen Jordan nursing an added incentive to gain a
positive result.

Former Blackburn defender Aaron Mokoena was fit to return to his former club
today as improving Portsmouth sought to build on last week's crushing 4-0 win
over Wigan.

Mokoena replaced Hassan Yebda at the back and Anthony Vanden Borre came in for
the injured Steve Finnan as boss Paul Hart sought the win which could lift
Pompey off the foot of the table.

14.25 Aston Villa v Bolton team news

Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill installed recalled midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker as captain for the home Barclays Premier League game with Bolton.

Reo-Coker was starting a league game for the first time since his training ground spat with O'Neill and took over the captain's armband from the suspended Stiliyan Petrov.

Full-back Luke Young made his first start of the campaign in place of Habib Beye, who was serving a one-game ban for his red card at West Ham.

James Milner and Carlos Cuellar were also recalled while James Collins and Emile Heskey were sidelined through injury.

Bolton boss Gary Megson brought in defender Paul Robinson in place of former Villa full-back Jlloyd Samuel, who was suspended after his sending-off against Chelsea last weekend.

14.24 Tottenham v Sunderland team news

Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe returned from suspension for the Barclays
Premier League clash against Sunderland at White Hart Lane today.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp also fielded forwards Peter Crouch and Robbie Keane,
while Jonathan Woodgate returned at centre-back following Sebastien Bassong's
hamstring injury. The changes meant David Bentley was back on the bench.

Sunderland started with former Spurs strikers Darren Bent and Fraizer Campbell
in their attack. Campbell was drafted in because Kenwyne Jones was serving a
suspension for his red card against West Ham. Black Cats boss Steve Bruce also
had Lorik Cana banned.
