Tana Ramsay joins Posh's fashion fan club as the latest to step out in Victoria Beckham dress

Victoria Beckham loves it so much she's already worn it twice - but that didn't stop Tana Ramsay from wearing the embellished black minidress that has become the highlight of her friend's fashion range.

Tana, who wore the £1,190 dress to host a charity dinner with husband Gordon at Claridges, is not first famous name to have fallen for the Victoria Beckham frocks.

She joins a host of celebrity fans of the dresses, including Elle Macpherson and Katherine Jenkins.

The event, which was designed to raise money for domestic violence charity Women's Aid,was a chance for Tana and Gordon to put the troubles of the past year behind them, and Tana seemed eager to put on a show of unity by planting a kiss on her husband as they arrived.

Tana, who has been a loyal and long-suffering wife to Gordon, watched her husband endure accusations of infidelity as the family business teetered on the edge of bankruptcy and faced a mauling by restaurant critics.

Inside the charity event, it was a case of Gordon meets Gordon when the Browns arrived as the guests of honour.

Perhaps they bonded over the two things the have in common - being Scottish and having a famously short temper.

The event attracted a range of other stars including Liz Hurley and Arun Nayar, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, whose husband Richard Jones provided the music along with his band The Feeling.

Former Blue Peter presenter Konnie Huq, model Natalia Vodianova and singer Donna Air added a touch of glamour to the night.

Ramsay's charity night followed a difficult few months for the television chef.

The Hells Kitchen star got a taste of his own medicine last week after his establishments occupied four places in a list of the ten most disappointing restaurants in Britain in the 2010 edition of the Harden’s guide.

The reputation of the chef’s flagship Chelsea restaurant - Restaurant Gordon Ramsay - is said to have gone down ‘faster than the stock market’.

Excitement about the menu there - the prestige version of which costs £120 without wine - is said to be ‘absent, just like the man himself’.

The Warrington, his pub in Maida Vale, north west London, was described as a ‘Kitchen Nightmare of truly astonishing proportions’ by one diner.

Richard Harden, co-editor of the guide, said the survey of 8,000 readers suggested the foul-mouthed chef was suffering from ‘imperial overreach’ and his group had deep-seated problems.

Last month, Ramsay admitted business at his restaurants had plunged so sharply he was advised to file for bankruptcy as profits fell from £3million to just under £400,000.

But he and his father-in-law pumped in £5million of their own money to keep the business afloat.

Ramsay admitted that he breached the terms of a £10.5m loan and was advised to place his company into bankruptcy by the bank he had borrowed the money from.

He said he sold his silver Ferrari sports car and considered selling his London home.

And he fired 15 per cent of his 1,200 staff and cut back on other costs such as using cheaper cuts of meat.

While his restaurants are not faring so well his TV career in the US is still going strong.

He has two hits, Hell's Kitchen and Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, which earn him over £10 million a year and are among the most popular on TV.
