Playboy founder Hugh Hefner files for divorce... and says his wife was the unfaithful one

He's not best known for his monogamy.

But Hugh Hefner isn't above seizing the moral high ground when he gets a chance.

The Playboy founder, 83, raised a few eyebrows yesterday when he revealed he is filing for divorce from wife Kimberley Conrad - and accused her of having an affair.

Although the couple separated 11 years ago, they have remained husband and wife.

Hefner claimed he was faithful during their marriage, but said Miss Conrad cheated on him 'early in the relationship'. However, he didn't say with whom.

The aging lothario appears to have found a perfect antidote to the stressful divorce proceedings - he revealed he has moved three 19-yearolds into his Playboy mansion. He now living with twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon and Crystal Harris. All three are blondes.

Miss Conrad, 47, the mother of Hefner's two sons, has been living next door to him in Los Angeles since their separation in 1998. But the arrangement soured after he sold the house.

Last month, Miss Conrad launched legal action against Hefner, claiming he failed to honour their prenuptial agreement and owed her £3million.

After years of enjoying an ever- changing coterie of scantily-clad young women, little about Hefner's life is likely to be different as a single man.

He told celebrity website TMZ: 'I am happy to be out of the marriage. I only remained married for the sake of the children, at her request.' The divorce documents-offer a glimpse into Hefner's flamboyant lifestyle. According to papers, he has assets worth almost £ 26million and spends about £25,000-a-month on food and entertainment.

He claims he has already given his estranged wife more than £7million since their split.

Hefner married his first wife Mildred Williams in 1949 and they had two children before their divorce a decade later.

After flings with a string of playboy bunnies, Hefner wed Playmate of the Year Miss Conrad in 1989.

After their split, he was said to be dating up to seven women at once.

Hefner remains editor-inchief of Playboy magazine and retains overall control of Playboy Enterprises Inc.
