Leona Lewis parties with Justin Timberlake at LA album launch... but says he'll never replace boyfriend Lou

As she partied with Justin Timberlake last night, it was easy to imagine that Leona Lewis had left her life in Hackney far behind her.

The party was held in honour of the X Factor winner's new album, and she looked every inch the established star in a belted strapless purple bandage dress.

But as the 24-year-old mixed with Britney's ex in Los Angeles, her teenage sweetheart Lou Al-Chamaa was on her mind.

New best friend: Leona Lewis partied with Justin Timberlake at the celebration for her second album Echo in Los Angeles

Leona says the electrician wasn't at all jealous of her spending time with Justin.

'He is cool with that kind of thing,' she said. 'In fact, he is so laid-back I’m like, “Hello? You need to be a bit jealous!” Not really.’

Working with Justin, on her second album Echo, was a great experience, she told the Mirror.

'It was great. First I had to get over the shock and cool myself down a bit. But he is just such a sweet guy and so talented.

'I didn’t know how he worked in the studio, I obviously just knew him from being a fan of his. But he is such a talented producer as well. It was a brilliant experience. A lot of my friends were very jealous.‘

The pop princess: Lenona (L) was joined by stars including Ciara at the launch

Following up her record-breaking first album was always going to be a difficult task, but Leona's career has gone from strength to strength in recent months.

She has recorded the title theme  I See You for Titanic director James Cameron's eagerly anticipated new 3D sci-fi film Avatar.

A message on her  website confirmed: 'We are proud to announce that Leona will record the signature song to the upcoming science fiction film, Avatar.'

James Horner and Simon Franglen, who were behind Celine Dion's massive hit My Heart Will Go On from 1997's Titanic, have produced the new track.

The song will feature on the film's soundtrack, Avatar: Music From The Motion Picture, in December.

Avatar, which stars Sigourney Weaver and Sam Worthington, is about an alien race defending their land against human invasion and will also be released next month.

And it was announced last week that Lewis has lent her famous voice to the soundtrack of one of the world's best-selling video game franchises.

The song My Hands, taken from Echo, will feature on Final Fantasy XIII, the latest chapter in the role-playing saga.
