'You two are the most hated girls in Essex': The TOWIE ladies turn on Lauren Pope as newcomer Verity Chapman stirs up more trouble for Chloe Lewis and Jake Hall

The battle lines  have been drawn in Essex, and on Sunday's episode of TOWIE the war between the girls really kicked off.

After last episode's flirt-fest between new girl Verity Chapman and James 'Lockie' Locke, Danielle Armstrong's girlfriends turned on Lauren Pope, who they accused of encouraging the flirting between Verity and Danni's ex.

And the girls didn't hold back, as they accused Lauren of breaking the sacred 'girl code'.

The drama surrounding Lockie's after party last week was still the hot topic, as Lauren caught up with Vas, Diags and Verity.

Lauren was quick to explain that Verity didn't even come to Lockie's after party despite the rumours, with the new girl insisting that 'nothing went on'.

'They've all decided to jump on the 'hate Lauren' bandwagon,' added Lauren of the hate she'd been getting for not warning Danni about the afterparty.

'You two are the most hated girls in Essex right now,' Vas and Diags decided.

Jess meanwhile was seeing things differently as the girls had a debrief after she confronted Verity in the club.

'She had no compassion whatsoever,' pointed out Jess of Verity's flirting whole Danielle 'was in bits' nearby. 'If she's a girl with a heart, or even with half a heart, you wouldn't act like that.'

Lauren's pal Ferne admitted she was 'shocked' by the blonde's actions as Gemma said: 'She's not a girls girl, she's calculating and as cold as ice.' An upset Danni agreed, explaining: 'You can never trust a girl who doesn't have a load of girl mates.'

The drama surrounding Verity continued as the boys soon found out that Jake Hall had once shared a kiss with the pretty brunette, when he and long-term girlfriend Chloe Lewis were on a break.

Lauren and Danielle ran into each other, leading to an intense conversation as Danielle accused the blonde of rubbing her heartbreak in her face by standing by as Verity and Lockie flirted.

At least Lauren had one friendly face in Mario Falcone, who stopped by to see how his pal was doing only for her to break down in tears.

'I've never had it where a pack of girls all hate me,' she told him. 'They've all jumped on this bandwagon like a pack of wolves.'

While Danielle cleared the air with Lockie over a make-up dinner, there was still more drama to come for Lauren as Jess and Ferne interrupted her date with Dan.

As Jess got upset as she finally told Lauren how upsetting it was to see her with her ex, she accused her former pal of not caring about their friendship, and when it was clear they weren't going to see eye to eye over the 'girl code' issue, they went their separate ways.

Meanwhile word soon reached Chloe Lewis about Jake's past with Verity leading to a furious Chloe to confront her boyfriend during a night out.

As Verity stood next to Jake, Chloe told him 'I can't believe that I've been naive for such a long time,' as she insisted they were still a couple when Jake went on the night out with Verity and Vas.

As Jake pointed out that pair have had so many 'breaks', Chloe put the final nail in the coffin, telling him: 'Who said I am going on a break, I'm done, I'm majorly done...I am giving you the free card to go and do whatever you want.'
