Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan's fashion faux pas as she steps out with huge beehive and Pat Butcher earrings

Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan made a huge fashion faux pas when she enjoying a night out clubbing in Manchester on Boxing Day.

Looking more like a young Pat Butcher from EastEnders than her Weatherfield character Tina McIntyre, the 22-year-old actress raised eyebrows with her backcombed beehive, orange bronzer, hippy hairband, huge earrings and bejewelled bindis on her forehead.

The soap star appeared to have her own unique interpretation of the 'sexy geek' dress code as she arrived at her boyfriend Brad Howard's club night in a black halterneck, wide-legged trousers and faux fur jacket.

Hair horror: Michelle Keegan dressed in her interpretation of the 'sexy geek' dresscode as she arrived with a beehive, headband and jewelled bindi at the Geek night of Entourage club in Manchester

Michelle was a VIP guest and went straight to the front of the queue as she arrived with a host of female friends, including Hollyoaks actress Emma Rigby, at the Entourage nightclub in Manchester's old Printworks.

The dress code of the 'Geek Winter Wonderland Party' was sexy geek, described as 'Victoria Secret-style sexy Santas with geek glasses or what ever takes your fancy - anything goes'.

Clearly for Michelle, it was 'anything goes' with her haphazard ensemble.

The actress's huge hair was a stark contrast to her Corrie character Tina, who normally had her locks scraped back in a 'Croydon facelift'-style ponytail.

Despite recent reports linking her to co-star Ryan Thomas, Michelle has been dating club promoter Brad for a year.

In a recent interview, she admitted she suspects Brad may have helped her secure the Sexiest Female trophies at the Inside Soap and British Soap Awards this year.

She said: 'He was well chuffed when I won the award - he texted me to say how proud he was when he found out.

'But it was probably him who voted for me all the time. He had the number on speed dial - that’s why I won.'

The pretty actress, whose character is currently in the midst of a love triangle with her boyfriend and her ex-boyfriend's brother, admits she couldn't be happier with Brad.

She said: 'Things are good between us and it's quite a serious relationship.

'We don't live together and we have our own lives and we each do our own thing. We haven't spoken about moving in together - we're happy with the way things are at the moment.'
