Gwyneth Paltrow the Grecian goddess brightens up the red carpet as Hollywood stars descend on Marrakesh
She faced fierce competition in the form of Miranda Kerr and Jennifer Aniston, but last night Gwyneth Paltrow emerged victorious in the red carpet style stakes.
The Iron Man actress looked a picture of peachy perfection at the star-studded opening of the iconic La Mamounia hotel in Marrakesh, Morocco.
She looked every inch the Grecian goddess as she sashayed into the venue in a one-shoulder dress, with the stylish drappery clinging her carefully honed body in all the right places.

Starry night: Miranda Kerr, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Aniston attended the opening of a Chopard boutique at the La Mamounia hotel in Marrakesh, Morocco, last night
The 37-year-old arrived sans husband
Chris Martin which comes as no surprise - the pair always avoid being
photographed together in public.
The lavish occasion appeared to be a welcome distraction for Gwyneth on what would have been her father's birthday.
This week she paid tribute to
producer Bruce, who died of cancer and pneumonia complications in 2002,
in her latest Goop mailout.
She wrote: 'I dedicate this Thanksgiving letter, on parental acceptance, to my father, who would have been 66 today.'

Lucky guy: Orlando Bloom, accompanied by his Victoria's Secret model girlfriend, caught up with Gwyneth
She continued: 'He was the greatest parent, friend, rabbi any girl could ever have asked for. Happy Birthday Bruce. And Happy Thanksgiving everybody.'
Gwyneth spent the evening mingling with fellow Hollywood stars including Orlando Bloom, 32.
The actor was accompanied by his Australian girlfriend Miranda, 26, who wore an elegant high-neck black gown.
It was decidedly more material than she has been used to wearing lately - last week she peeled down to her lingerie for the Victoria's Secret fashion show in New York and recently appeared topless in the 2010 Pirelli calendar shoot.
Bloom has just finished work on his new movie Sympathy For Delicious, and is now gearing up for his next film, The Red Circle.
Friends star Jennifer, 40, also flew in for the occasion after a brief stopover in London.

A night of glamour: Salma Hayek and Juliette Binoche also attended
She was seen arriving at Heathrow airport yesterday with Bloom and their mutual manager Aleen Keshishia.
Although he has been dating Miranda for years, Bloom was still linked to Jennifer last year.
The pair were reported to have been flirty when they attended a Hollywood party at Eva Longoria's restaurant in March 2008.
Despite their friendly behaviour,
Aniston's representative denied they were romantically involved, saying
at the time: 'They are just friends and have many other friends in
common.'
Acresses Salma Hayek, Juliette Binoche and singer Bryan Ferry also joined the guest list last night.
The hotel opened its doors just two months ago after a 3-year million pound makeover with rooms now starting around £560 per night.
