And now for something completely exhausting: Fatherhood proves a yawn for Terry Jones at 67

Cuddling up to his tiny daughter Siri, Terry Jones appears the image of a proud father in a portrait for today's Radio Times.

But only a few days ago he gave a rather more realistic impression of what takes to help raise a baby at the age of 67.

The Monty Python star let out a lengthy yawn as he accompanied his 26-year-old girlfriend Anna Soderstrom and Siri round Camden, North London.

In an interview for the Radio Times, he says he has a 'reasonable' chance of living to see Siri reach her 20s.

On his decision to have a child he said: 'I don't think people who have children are acting selfishly or unselfishly.

Having a child who'll be loved, to parents who love each other, is the important thing.'

Jones, now a successful director and author, also revealed that the colon cancer, with which he was diagnosed three years ago, is in remission.

He walked out on his wife Alison Telfer, with whom he has two grown-up children, in 2004 after meeting Oxford graduate Miss Soderstrom at a book signing.
