Long illness: Former Daily Mail TV and Radio Editor has died aged 75

Martin Jackson, a former Daily Mail TV and Radio Editor, has died after a long illness. He was 75.

Mr Jackson, from Hawkhurst in Kent, was a journalist for 60 years and spent 21 years in Fleet Street, working for the Mail and the Daily Express in the 1970s. 

He started his journalistic career at the Ham and High in North London.

He also edited Broadcast Magazine, and was a regular panellist on ATV's original New Faces and BBC Radio 4's The News Quiz.
