The 21-year-old drew immediate comparisons with the Real Madrid forward after completing a £25million deal to Louis van Gaal's side back in May.
But at his unveiling at Old Trafford on Friday, Depay told the Manchester Evening News that he would rather 'let his feet do the talking' instead of being likened to the 30-year-old.

He said: 'That is the best player in the world. I don't want to talk too much. I want to show it on the pitch. I am still young, not with many years in the game. I played two seasons for PSV.
'I want to let my feet speak. I don't want to compare myself with somebody like that.
'I am just excited to do my job for Manchester United and to score goals. I am a striker so I want to score goals and get assists.'
With Robin van Persie on his way out of the club to join Turkish giants Fenerbahce, Van Gaal will be hoping Depay can continue where he left off last season, scoring a impressive 25 goals in 37 appearances for former side PSV Eindhoven.
