Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer set out to save the world in new trailer for The Man From U.N.C.L.E... with car chases, gadgets and beautiful women

Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer unveiled the new trailer for their film The Man From U.N.C.L.E at Comic-Con in San Diego on Saturday.

The film, directed by Guy Ritchie, is set like the original TV series in the early 1960s against the backdrop of the Cold War and features car chases, beautiful women, and two feuding protagonists.

Cavill, 32, is CIA Agent Napoleon Solo who must team up with his KGB counterpart Illya Kuryakin, played by Hammer, 28, to stop a mysterious international organization with an atom bomb that's bent on starting World War Three.

The slick James Bond-esque production starts in what appears to be Berlin with Solo and Teller being pursued by Kuryakin.

When the car being driven by the Russian agent comes level to that driven by Teller, Solo, who's lying on the back seat, tells Teller: 'When you hear something that sounds like a gun shot, drive.'

Two shots ring out shattering the side window of Kuryakin's vehicle but he dodges the bullets and a crazy pursuit follows.

The action cuts to a rainy London where Sanders meets with Solo in a public toilet to introduce him to his new partner - but as soon as he spots Kuryakin, Solo launches himself at him and two go at it.

Finally, the feud resolves long enough for them to receive their orders: to investigate the blonde and beautiful Viciguerra.

Teller joins the two guys going undercover as Kuryakin's fiancee and it's not long before sparks start flying between the pair.

As snippets of various action sequences from the movie are tantalizingly teased, Solo is heard saying: 'Things could get a little messy. End of the world, that kind of thing.'

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. opens in the UK and North America on August 14.
