They finally tied the knot in a sophisticated wedding ceremony over the weekend.

And Peter Andre has opened up about his ‘fantastic’ day as he confirmed the proceedings did take place saying: ‘I’m so delighted to tell you all that yes, Ems and I tied the knot at the weekend!’

As for his stunning wife – and the mother of their 18-month-old daughter Amelia – he told new! magazine said: ‘Ems looked absolutely beautiful’.

His last wedding to Katie Price was a glamorous affair, but Peter Andre pulled out all the stops to make his special day with Emily as sophisticated as possible.

The TV presenter tied the knot with his doctor partner on the leafy grounds of Mamhead House in Exeter, South West England, on Saturday.

The beautiful venue, worth a grand £9.5million, is one of the finest Georgian houses in the UK, which boasts an impressive Italian style sunken garden and terrace – a perfect backdrop for photographs.

While his last ceremony with ex-glamour model Katie involved a pink wedding gown, Cinderella style carriage, and various TV stars as guests, it has been reported that 42-year-old Peter is hoping for a ‘more intimate’ wedding this time round.

And it is thought that Mysterious Girl hitmaker will even be providing the entertainment for his guests.

‘Peter wants to make it a really personal affair. The song is very poignant and means a lot to him,’ a source told The Sun newspaper.

‘He's also planning to perform some more uplifting tracks to get everyone in the mood to party.’

Emily, a newly qualified doctor, is believed to be wearing a classic bridal gown, complete with laced sleeves that channels the Duchess of Cambridge’s.

Meanwhile, Peter’s eight-year-old daughter, Princess, with ex-wife Katie Price will reportedly be the flower girl, while his son Junior, 10, will act as pageboy.

The publication also states that the wedding party will be treated to a lavish five-course meal, with chicken, lamb and fish all on the menu.

Meanwhile, unlike his wedding to Katie which earned the former couple a £2 million magazine deal, Peter and Emily have sold the rights to OK! for £500,000.

It is also thought that Emily’s dad, Pete’s surgeon, will be footing most of the bill for the big day.
