'I am strong because I have been weak': Kerry Katona puts on a brave face to perform with Atomic Kitten following 'split' from third husband George Kay

Kerry Katona put on a brave face as she took to the stage on Sunday, performing with pop band Atomic Kitten, while her proud children cheered her on from the side of the stage.

The 34-year-old looked in fine form as the band performed at the South Tyneside Festival, South Shields - days after she reportedly kicked husband, George Kay, out of their marital home.

Despite her heartache the blonde singer cut a confident figure as she sang with her band mates, Liz McClarnon and Natasha Hamilton after tweeting a thinly veiled reference to the reported split.

Taking to her Twitter account on Saturday night, she gave her followers a very personal account of her mind-set, writing: 'Sweet dreams all, tomorrow is the first day of the rest of my life xxx.'

And as if to underline the new chapter in her life, she posted a series of cryptic lyrics following her performance on Sunday.

Adding: 'I am strong because I have been weak, I am brave because I have known fear, I am wise because I have been foolish, I can know love because I have known pain.'

Kerry is said to have thrown her third-husband, George Kay, 35, out of their marital home last week, amid reports that she'd had enough of his erratic behaviour.

But if the separation was weighing on her mind, the feisty singer didn't show it on stage. Wearing a plunging pale blue jumpsuit, Kerry cut a confident figure at the music event.

She slicked back her short blonde locks with a gold headband as she showed off her dance moves.

The performance is only the second time that the unlucky-in-love pop star has been seen since the breakdown of her marriage.

Last week Kerry is said to have kicked George out of the pair's rented mansion, and prompted speculation that their nine-month marriage is finished.

Looking strained and emotional, she took their daughter Dylan-Jorge around Chinnor, Oxon, near the £3,500-per-month mansion she shared with her third husband and her other four children.

Kerry is mother to 13-month-old Dylan-Jorge (her only child with George) Molly, 13, Lilly-Sue, 12, Heidi, eight, and Max, seven.

Kerry - who has also been married to both Brian McFadden and Mark Croft - wed Kay, a former Rugby League player, in September 2014.

The pair are said to have argued over George's lifestyle choices.

Speaking to The Sun last week, a source said: 'George's party lifestyle doesn't suit Kerry. He has been going missing regularly and Kerry has said she has had enough.'

'All he's bothered about iIs how he looks, going back to Warrington to see his friends and partying,' added the source. 'And he's done nothing to support her financially or emotionally.'

Previously, the Atomic Kitten singer was married to fellow pop band member Brian, who was at the time a member of Irish boyband Westlife.

They were married for four years and had two children together, Molly and Lilly-Sue, before separating in 2006.

The singer and former queen of the I'm A Celebrity... jungle followed up her marriage to Brian with a four-year union with Mark.
