The 27 year-old was booted from the competition after housemates were forced to choose between her presence and a £15,000 cash prize.

Unsurprisingly, they opted for the latter.

Getting emotional at their decision, the Dundee-born star almost lost her composure amid the shock, but managed to keep her dignity as she emerged to the appreciative crowds.

Welcomed by cheers and affirmations, the brunette was clearly delighted with the public's response.

Speaking to Emma Willis in the post-departure interview, she said: 'I knew it was me. I had the highest figure on my head, plus they were all original housemates and I came in 18 days on. People were being loyal.

Sounding jolly about being out in the open, she said: 'This is brilliant - I love being out and seeing everyone.'

'But, yes, I am a people-pleaser. I found it difficult when people were saying that I should get off the fence, but when I tried to be controversal it didn't work.

'I tried to be everyone's best friend, but it was difficult to go into the house late.'

Still, she said that she was pleased to have met some good friends - including Marc.

'I became best friends with Marc, but he was considered the enemy - so I don't think that helped. I was able to deal with Marc because I'm Scottish.
