Arda Turan and Andres Iniesta have their pre-season medicals as Barcelona get back to work following brief summer break
- Barcelona return to training as quintet have pre-season medicals
- Arda Turan, Andres Iniesta, Rafinha, Adriano and Sergi Roberto take part
- Players including Neymar and Lionel Messi absent after Copa America
It's been little over five weeks since Barcelona ended their stunning 2014-15 campaign, finishing with a 3-1 victory in the Champions League final over Juventus on June 6 to complete a famous treble.
But on Monday, the Catalan club were back at work as a large portion of their squad returned to pre-season training.
New man Arda Turan was joined by Andres Iniesta, Rafinha, Adriano and Sergi Roberto in having their post-holiday medicals.
Barcelona took to Instagram to post the pictures of the quintet along with the message: 'After 35 days off, thirteen players are back to work. FC Barcelona players kicked off the 2015/16 season with physicals.
'The players are taking part in the usual pre-season fitness and medical tests. We start 15/16 #FCB.'
Several players were missing from training on Monday for Barcelona, including the likes of Lionel Messi and Neymar who were involved in the Copa America.
But boss Luis Enrique was back in action to put the likes of Luis Suarez through their paces on the first day back.
Barcelona will be heading off to the USA soon for their pre-season tour, where they kick-off with a visit to play LA Galaxy in the International Champions Cup next Tuesday.
The tournament also includes games against Manchester United, Chelsea and Fiorentina, before returning home to face Roma on home soil on August 5.
