Scientology and Tom Cruise plan to take on the major movie studios and TV networks with the creation of Scientology Media Productions.

But Sea Org workers are earning just a few dollars a day to help renovate the Sunset Blvd site. A new set of audition tapes for the woman who will replace Katie Holmes will be held at the facility. Scientology boasts its new network will 'reach everyone on Earth.'

Steve Gerecke was found dead in his driveway by police on June 26. Ryan Archibeque, 17 (top left), Andrew Hubler, 15 (top right), Jeremiah King, 16 (bottom left), and Christopher Rodriguez, 16 (bottom right), will be charged as adults. The other two teens, 14-year-olds Enrique Palomino and Matthew Baldonado, will be charged as juveniles. Five of the six teens have criminal records or past run-ins with the law. Alaa Bader al-Hashemi was executed at dawn in Abu Dhabi after she was found guilty of the fatal stabbing American mother-of-three Ibolya Ryan in the bathroom of a shopping mall in the gulf state. The death sentence was approved by President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan last month but the state security court have not revealed how the execution was carried out. She also was found guilty of having sent funds to Al-Qaeda in Yemen, knowing that this money would be used for 'terrorist acts'.

A new video reveals the audition tapes of the hits show's actors. The short clip sees some of the series most-loved characters reading lines from the popular medieval fantasy. More than 1,500 pickups, motorcycles and cars took part in the convey through central Florida on Sunday to protest the removal of the Confederate flags on public buildings throughout the South. Horns blared and hundreds of rebel flags fluttered as some 4,500 people attended the Florida Southern Pride Ride in Ocala. As young and old gathered to take part, organizer David Stone said the flag was not a symbol of hate, like its opponents say, but has lots of different meanings to different people. 'It doesn't symbolize hate unless you think it's hate - and that's your problem, not mine,' the 38-year-old said.

Dana Bishop, 36, from England says her five-year-old son Morgan suffers such severe eczema he can barely walk was in such pain he begged his mother to let him die (he is pictured, left, during a flare up). The family are at breaking point, having tried almost every treatment available on the NHS - including a form of chemotherapy (Morgan is pictured in hospital, right and inset). The skin on his feet and legs become so sore he cannot walk and must use a mobility scooter to move around during a flare-up. And as the eczema stops him from sleeping, he can only attend school for half days at a time and is rarely able to play with his friends. Now, the family are fundraising to take him to a clinic in France for treatment. Mrs Bishop, 36, said: 'People don't recognise skin conditions as debilitating. They hear eczema and just think it's a bit of dry skin, but the reality can be much, much worse.'

A Venezuelan weightlifter missed an attempt on the clean & jerk Sunday at the Pan Am Games and fell to the ground -- but still managed to snag a silver medal. 20-year-old Genesis Rodriguez Gomez competed in the women's 53kg Group A at the competition, which is being held in Oshawa, Ontario. She missed her first attempt on the clean and jerk at 106kg. Rodriguez raised the bar to her shoulders and paused before raising it over her head. However, she collapsed onto the platform and the bar fell behind her. Rodriguez later completed her second attempt at the same weight, as well as her third and final clean and jerk at 109kg. She finished in second place.

Between 1906 and 1930, Edward S. Curtis, originally from Wisconsin, was commissioned by JP Morgan to document the Native American culture in a project that would have - by today's standards - cost an estimated $35 million. The result was over 40,000 negatives and endless stories and essays. Some 100 rarely-seen photos are at the center at a new retrospective book Edward S. Curtis: One Hundred Masterworks. 'He realized that he could not only preserve a record of the history, culture, and profound humanity of Native peoples but felt absolutely compelled to do so before they vanished forever,' curator Christopher Cardozo wrote in the book. Stephanie Wapenski, 36, was left bloodied and in need of more than 35 stitches after a foul ball struck her between the eyes during a Yankees-Red Sox game in Boston Friday. Wapenski, a Massachusetts native and a life-long Red Sox fan, was sitting along the third base line with her fiance, a Yankees fan, when Yankees' shortstop Didi Gregorius hit the ball ino the stand in the fifth inning.

The footage shows a group of people watching two unidentified women getting into an argument in the middle of the street. One then throws something at the other and appears to turn on a Tazer in her hand. Moments later a man is heard screaming 'watch out' before the silver vehicle slams into the group, sending them through the air before they land on the road. The victims are then seen picking themselves up from the street, one holding their face, as the crowd watches in horror. The female driver, said to be in her twenties, and a passenger then drive back-up the car and fleeing with a dent in the hood.

Surprisingly, the footage from this video isn't from the latest slick rap video - but is meant to showcase 9133 Oriole Way in West Hollywood, which is on the market for $33million. Alongside lingering shots of models' behinds (top left) and swimming pool scenes (bottom right), the slick film takes viewers inside and outside the home. Such films, only tangentially related to the property, are a weapon in the arsenal of realtors hoping to shift some of the priciest property in the U.S.

Channing Tatum may be one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, but it seems that the Magic Mike heartthrob is not so famous that he can't lend a helping hand. Tatum was at Comic-Con on Sunday when he and the stars of the Marvel superhero films X-Men Apocalypse, Deadpool, Gambit, and Fantastic Four all assembled for a giant group photo with the man who created many of their characters, comic book legend Stan Lee. Then, when the photo was over and the 92-year-old Lee began to struggle as he tried to get down the stairs, Tatum was the first of the 30 actors on stage to leap to the man's aid.

Chris Galvan, 38, stopped by a San Antonio FedEx store shortly before the 9pm closing time Saturday to print fliers for a CrossFit competition when he found himself trapped. Instead of succumbing to panic, the fitness enthusiast created a meme featuring a photo of himself on his knees pressed up against the store's locked door with the text: 'Free Chris Galvan' and '#FedExPrisoner.' Seeking to make the most of his captivity, Galvan also videotaped himself doing jumping jacks.

The first images of two warships which sank off the Western Australian coast after a gun battle in 1941 have emerged. The pictures, taken on the ocean floor 2.5km beneath the surface, show the remains of the German warship, Kormoran (inset) and the Australia ship, the HMAS Sydney. The pictures show the German ship's gun nicknamed 'Linda' featuring a skull and cross bones (left) as well as it's grim tally of 11 ships sunk (top right). Also pictured is a lifeboat from the HMAS Sydney (bottom right). These never-before-seen pictures are part of a set of more than 700,000 taken on an undersea expedition by Curtin University and the Western Australian Museum.

Noah Thrift, 15, was fishing in Fernandina, Florida, when he noticed his rod had fallen into the water - after being weighed down by a whopping eight-foot, 250 pound shark. After pulling for 30 minutes and with the help of a fellow fisherman who came to his aid, Noah managed to get his incredible catch on to dry land, before he released it back into the water. Noah, who had caught a stingray while fishing the day before, said about his shark catch: 'I was surprised that they were down there that big.'
