This luxury flat - described as one of the best apartments in London - has gone on the market for a staggering £35million
The Wellington Court property, which includes this stunning-looking terrace - has views over Hyde Park and the centre of the city
The building is next to the famous Hyde Park One apartment block as is seen as the original high-profile park-side development
It was formerly rented to filmmakers Pinewood Studios and has housed Rihanna (left) and Tom Cruise (right) during their visits to London
Between 2012 and 2015, the penthouse was rented out by Pinewood Studios with Tom Cruise and other A-list Hollywood stars such as popstar Rihanna living there while they filmed or performed in London.
It is not known how much was paid to rent the property out, but it likely to have been around £50,000 per week.
The owner, who was not London-based, recently decided to refresh the 19th century apartment and commissioned interiors designers Paul Davies London for the overhaul.
It has now been put on the market for £35 million - with only a few apartment blocks in London offering more expensive flats.
It is regarded as one of the largest and finest lateral apartments in the capital, with flats this large often spread over two of three floors as duplex and triplexes.
The sprawling property - dubbed a 'super-lateral' by estate agents - includes a gym with running and rowing machines and punch bag
The property - which has housed a number of A-list stars from Hollywood, has a number of terrace, one of which features a huge mirror
Despite being on just one floor, the amazing flat contains five bedrooms, each of which has attractive en suite bathroom
One of the most unusual features of the lavish flat is this so-called 'therapy room', where occupants can receive treatment
Peter Wetherell, chief executive of Wetherell estate agents, said: 'This is arguably the most luxurious penthouse currently on the market in Knightsbridge, providing 10,000 sq/ft of living space and rare aspect views over Hyde Park.
'The owner loved the lateral space, and then rented the property out to a major Hollywood A-lister as his London pied-a-terre. Why? Because the Hollywood star loved the lateral space.
'Now it has been lavishly refurbished and put on the market for sale, it will without a doubt get snapped up because it provides so much lateral space.
'If it was a house on lots of floors it could have been in danger of languishing on the market, but as a mega-lateral it will command a lot of interest.
'Located in what would have been the benchmark for ultra prime developments of its day, Wellington Court appeals to ultra high net worth individuals who prefer traditional built exteriors, combined with the finest modern interiors and finishes.'
Wellington Court was first developed in the 19th Century and was the original high-profile park-side development.
It also features this stunning open-plan kitchen and is just a stone's throw from world famous shops like Harrods and Harvey Nicholls
As well as this dining area, decorated with a novel-looking chandelier, there are a number of area for sitting and looking out over the city
The service charge alone at the flat - which includes this bar and lounge area - is more than the average salary, at £37,162 per annum
The apartment, which overlooks the famous Serpentine lake in Hyde Park, features 'his and her' dressing rooms and its own cinema
The main lounge terrace, accessed through full height glass bi-folding doors, is larger than the average new home and has full views onto the parkland, the Serpentine, as well as a West to East cityscape.
It also has a covered dining area for 12 people, seating area with parasol, as well as lounge seating with fireplace and TV.
Inside the house is a music room, which boasts a fully equipped Swarovski Crystal lined bar and sofa seating area.
With 10,000 sq/ft of space, it is more than ten times the size of the typical UK home - with all the accommodation spread over a single floor.
Interior Designer Paul Davies added: 'The penthouse offers one of the largest living spaces currently on the market.
'The interiors have been specially designed to create a sophisticated ambiance, using the finest detailing, finishing's and furnishings that provide unparalleled luxury in the heart of one of London's most attractive areas.'
