An onlooker was caught taking a selfie at the scene of serious car crash as emergency services battled for more than an hour to free a trapped 19-year-old while others shouted 'Is she dead?' The man was seen holding his iPhone aloft as he posed for the picture on a bridge over the North Circular in Barnet with the multiple-vehicle pile-up clearly visible in the background. Paramedics and the air ambulance were sent to help rescue the woman who was trapped in her Peugeot 206 with a leg injury after two lorries and a car smashed into each other in north London. She was taken to hospital along with her two female passengers who were aged 15 and 19. A 48-year-old man, who was driving one of the lorries, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

A young fashion buyer, who had worked with Vivienne Westwood, was crushed to death by a lorry as she cycled home minutes after celebrating getting a new job, an inquest heard.
Italian-born Federica Baldassa, 26, who moved to Whitechapel a year before her death to pursue her dream of working in fashion, was cycling home from central London after meeting a friend for a drink in February.
She was 'on top of the world' because her internship had just been made a permanent job and was planning a party for her upcoming birthday, St Pancras Coroner's Court heard.
But as she turned left down a narrow side street onto Bloomsbury Square she suffered a 'momentary lapse of concentration' and was killed instantly when she was pulled under the wheels of the lorry as it also turned left.
Miss Baldassa had worked for Westwood in Milan and the grey trousers and coat she was wearing are believed to be given to her by Westwood personally as a leaving present.

Richard Fruin, 38, was arrested and given a two-year jail sentence in October 2013 by a court in Cambodia after he managed to get a job as an English teacher in the country. He was arrested by police who found him staying at a guest house with one of children is accused of abusing.
 Fruin who arrived in Cambodia to work as an English teacher after serving a year in prison in his home country for producing child pornography ó was arrested in October 2013 at a guesthouse in Phnom Penhís Daun Penh district, where police found him with an 8-year-old boy.
Bryony Matthew, a spokeswoman for the British Embassy, said she was not authorized to comment on the case but local media said that the British man had been given his documentation back and was to be deported back to the UK by the end of the week.
