Kate Beckinsale brought a touch of Hollywood to London's West End on Monday night at the opening night of a new play.

The Underworld actress, 41, looked stunning in a tight white mesh off-the-shoulder dress as she joined a host of British comedy stars at the press night of The Mentalists.

Kate was there to lend support to her comedian friend Stephen Merchant, who is making his West End debut at the Wydnham's Theatre production.

A touch of Hollywood: Kate added a splash of colour with her yellowy-green high-heels

Arriving at the theatre, Kate teamed her white dress with a pair of green snake-printed heels and completed her outfit with a white quilted Chanel bag.

The actress was one of a host of famous faces at the opening of Richard Bean's new play about two men who was forced to confront the dark side of their relationship after they end in a hotel room.

The Office star Stephen plays Ted, who has a big plan which he believes will revolutionise the world.
