Bet you enjoyed that, Adrian! Chiles rolls around the floor with Daybreak co-host

Christine Bleakley

Viewers who tuned into Daybreak just before 8am this morning may well have thought hosts Christine Bleakley and Adrian Chiles had lost control of their senses.

The pair - famous for their on-screen chemistry - are seen here rolling around the studio floor together.

But fans of the show can rest assured - Adrian was not getting his wicked way with his glamorous co-host live on national television.

Rather, the presenters were performing some moves under the guidance of Cameron Diaz's stuntwoman, Kimberly Shannon.

Kimberly worked with Diaz on her recent movie Knight and Day and was on the ITV1 show this morning to pass on some of her skills.

Always game for a laugh, Adrian, 43, and Christine, 31, decided to get in on the action as part of the the daily feature, Something Cool Before The Kids Go To School.

As a result, Adrian ended up prostrate on the floor with Christine pinning him down.

Kimberly started off by demonstrating a fighting routine, before Christine said: 'I've actually been practising a little bit myself this morning and I've got a real baddie in the house... Adrian Chiles.'

Chiles then walked into shot, before Christine told him: 'Go on, pretend to give me a hug like you always do in the morning.'

A diligent Adrian wasted no time, embracing Christine, before she spun round and took him down.

Afterwards, clearly having enjoyed the experience, Adrian cheekily asked Kimberly: 'What about bedroom scenes or something - are you a double for that.'

But Christine kept him in check, interjecting: 'Don't answer him.'

Earlier in the show, Christine erupted into fits of giggles when a group of primary school children, who  appeared on the show dressed in nativity outfits, greeted her by saying: 'Good morning Mrs Chiles.'

But she was not so happy when celebrity correspondent, 'Showbiz Steve', brought up reports in today's Daily Mirror, claiming Ashley Cole was dating playmate Kayla Collins.

Bleakley, who dates Cole's Chelsea team mate Frank Lampard, retorted: 'Steve, you've got to let that one go, seriously,' causing a rather awkward moment.
