A lesson from Leo...
I totally loved this Facebook post from my lovely friend Deborah...
'Walking home from school today it was warm and sunny and Leo asked if we could go the long way home via the cemetery to look at the snails and gravestones. I at first said no, we should really get home quickly and tidy and get ready for bed. Then I reconsidered... And we spent half an hour reading the gravestones, looking at wild flowers and stroking the thistles.
And I learned again from my 5-year-old that sometimes it really is good to stop and enjoy the world for a while.
(Then we got home and he wouldn't get ready for bed and I became harpie mum and cursed the flower garden but we can't have it all)
