Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has linked up with his team-mates in Melbourne ahead of their participation in the International Champions Cup.

The pre-season tournament, which is being hosted in Australia and China, sees Madrid take on both Inter and AC Milan, Roma and Manchester City over the course of July.

Ronaldo arrived in Melbourne on Sunday, having traveled separately to the rest of the Madrid squad, but was given a warm welcome by Gareth Bale and manager Rafa Benitez.

Meanwhile, Sergio Ramos is also with the Madrid squad, despite the ongoing interest from Manchester United over a possible transfer.

The 29-year-old defender has been identified as a top target by the Red Devils this summer and they have already had an initial £28.3million bid rejected for him.

Ramos is thought to be open to a move away from the La Liga giants, however, having grown dissatisfied with the terms of his current contract.

Still, that Ramos has turned up dutifully to pre-season in spite of these feelings he has, should go some way towards diminishing his hothead reputation.

One player who did not join up with Los Blancos was goalkeeper Iker Casillas, who has left the club after 25 years to join Porto.

The 34-year-old Spain captain had progressed through Madrid's Castilla academy before spending 16 seasons in the first-team, winning multiple honours, including five league and three Champions League titles.

He was presented formally to Madrid's fans on Monday at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium to say an emotional goodbye.
