Carole and Pippa are given starring roles in series of royal baby books on sale at the Buckingham Palace gift shop
- The Middletons feature in Shhh! Don't Wake the Royal Baby! book series
- Pippa is depicted as chief party planner for Prince George's first birthday
- Carole is pictured wearing same dress she wore to visit George in hospital
- The Queen, Prince Charles and grandfather Michael also feature - but brother James does not
Recognise that outift? Carole is depicted in a series of royal baby books wearing the same dress she wore to visit Prince George in hospital in 2012
They have dined with the Queen at Windsor Castle and joined the royal family at Ascot.
And now the Middletons have had their almost-royal credentials boosted even further – by being immortalised in a series of royal baby books.
Carole, Michael and Pippa Middleton – but not her brother James – all have star turns in the Shhh! Don’t Wake the Royal Baby! series, on sale in the Buckingham Palace gift shop for £6.99 each.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s family join the royals to organise Prince George’s first birthday party in Happy Birthday, Royal Baby!
Wielding a to-do list, Pippa is seen announcing: ‘Everything needs to be perfect for the Royal Baby’s celebrations.’
She also marches down into the palace kitchen, George in her arms, and tells the chef not to forget the jam in his favourite jam tarts.
Later, the young prince’s auntie dons a pair of roller skates to organise ‘pin the tail on the corgi’, ‘musical thrones’ and ‘pass the peacock’.
Middleton matriarch Carole – wearing the same floral-print dress she wore to visit George for the first time in hospital – is shown in a headset ordering the ‘royal balloon blower’ to use ‘More puff! More puff!’
The picture of Carole is accompanied with the words ‘…said the prince’s grandma. ‘You’ve still got more than a hundred to go – and don’t forget the dinosaur-shaped ones. The Royal Baby LOVES dinosaurs!’
Grandfather Michael, meanwhile, can be seen trying out George’s bouncy castle in the palace garden.
The only missing Middleton is Kate’s bearded brother, James, who runs a business selling personalised marshmallows and fails to get a single mention.
The Queen, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall – as well as William and Kate – also make several appearances in the trio of books. Lively uncle Prince Harry is responsible for the music at George’s first birthday party.
It is George’s great-grandmother who saves the day on his birthday when she gets her private jet to write a vapour trail birthday message in the sky before parachuting to the ground with an empty box strapped to her chest.
A right royal family party: The Middletons and senior royals gather to mark Prince George's birthday in one of the books in the series, Happy Birthday, Royal Baby!

All of the Middletons and the royals then gather round for a birthday tea before playing with George’s toys.
Carole and Michael can be seen in a rather ungainly pose riding a hobby horse, while Charles is driving a life-sized tractor and Kate slips down a whale-shaped slide.
The books, written by Martha Mumford and illustrated by Ada Grey, are described by publishers Bloomsbury as ‘bright, bold and fabulously funny’. A portion of the profits goes towards the upkeep of the Royal Collection.
They are currently on sale at the gift shop at Buckingham Palace, as well as other royal residences open to the public.
