Supermom! Calista Flockhart hits the books with her son Liam after Harrison Ford heads to Comic-Con

She will soon be appearing as a series regular on Supergirl, but on Saturday Calista Flockhart was playing the role of Supermom.

The 50-year-old was spotted with her son Liam as the two hit the library for a school project.

Meanwhile Calista's husband Harrison Ford, 72, has had a busy weekend at Comic-Con as he continues to make a triumphant recovery from his tragic March plane crash.

The Ally Mcbeal actress even carried her son's books as the two entered the Santa Monica library.

She wore a pair of chic sunglasses and a comfy looking black sweater.

Liam had his hands in his pockets while wearing a pair of basketball shorts and a blue T-shirt representing Jackson, Wyoming, where the family owns a house.

And like a typical teen, Liam was seen texting on his phone while his mom did the heavy lifting.

After appearing on Friday during a panel for the upcoming Star Wars film at Comic-Con, Ford has been seen on his own this weekend, doing whatever he feels like.

Saturday saw the Indiana Jones actor going for a helicopter ride; he apparently isn't ready to fly solo yet as he was with a co-pilot.

And the next day the actor was seen enjoying a leisurely Sunday as he drove to a toy store only to find that it was closed. But the actor still smiled, appearing vibrant despite being hospitalized from the crash in recent months.

Calista has been a vocal opponent of her husband's aviation hobby ever since Harrison's near fatal crash in March.

But that hasn't stopped the action-hero. Along with Saturay's helicopter ride, the resilient star has been seen flying his planes multiple times but always with a co-pilot.

Earlier this month, the family took their twin-engine private jet on vacation, although Harrison allowed someone else to fly this time.

Friday's Star Wars panel at Comic-Con was the first public appearance by the Hollywood movie icon since the crash and he received a standing ovation when he walked on stage at the convention.

He was reunited with his Star Wars co-stars Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill who greeted him warmly - with Fisher even planting a kiss on his lips to everyone's delight as it harked back to when Han Solo and Princess Leia finally locked lips in the original trilogy.

Ford told fans that he's thrilled to be reprising the character again.

'The original Star Wars was the beginning of my working life…so it was great to be back,' he said.
