Cher, 69, proves she can turn back time in hippy chic bell-bottoms and multi-coloured shirt as she jets into Los Angeles

It might seem unlikely but Kim Kardashian cited her as one of her fashion inspirations earlier this year.

However, Cher's bohemian style would not have looked out of place at Woodstock Music Festival as she arrived at LAX on Sunday.

The Believe singer wore an hippy-style long-sleeved multi-coloured print top as she arrived back in Los Angeles, after a trip to London.

The singer covered her trademark long dark locks with a wide-brimmed straw hat and covered her eyes in dark-glasses.

The music legend was more demure than some of her more revealing and memorable outfits as she teamed her vibrant tunic with bell-bottom blue jeans.

She topped off her trip back in time with silver wedge sandals which gave a glimpse of a pink pedicure.

In May, Kim Kardashian explained that Cher - who has just been made the face of Marc Jacob's latest collection - was the inspiration for her choice of outfit at the Met Gala.

The If I Could Turn Back Time singer, whose real name is Cherilyn Sarkisian, has long been the sartorial chameleon, and set the trend for tunics and bell-bottoms in the 1960's.

She's also known for her edgy and revealing style choices and was notably the first woman to expose her navel on TV.

It was also revealed this week that Richie Sambora has recorded a version of Cher's No. 1 1960's hit “I Got You Babe” on his up and coming album for his former lover.

The former Bon Jovi star, 55, was Cher’s lover and live-in boyfriend in the late 80’s.

Twice-married Cher has two children from her two marriages, Sonny Bono and Gregg Allman and an estimated personal fortune of $320 million.
