Celebrity hairstylist Sarah Potempa has launched an Instagram campaign to showcase a different braided style every day - for an entire year.
The American hairdresser has already found fame styling the tresses of celebrities including Kristen Stewart, Jamie King, Poppy Delevingne and Margot Robbie.
She also has a line of hair tools to her name including the award-winning Beachwaver Pro, which leaves hair expertly tousled.
But now the styling supremo is turning her hand to a brand new challenge in the form of her '365 Days of Braids' series.

Creating her looks on models, friends and even herself, each hairstyle offers a new take on the traditional plaiting technique.
While some styles are simple, such as the half-up braid that could be worn to work or on a dinner date, others are far more complex.

The stylist appears to have a passion for plaits, which involve weaving five sections of hair rather than the standard three, for example.
A look which has certainly impressed her 40,000 followers, but could prove tricky for the novice to recreate at home.
One particularly intricate style uses small plaited sections, which are then weaved into one bigger five-strand plait, for a finished look which also serves as a puzzle for the eyes.

Other hairstyles which feature heavily in the series incorporate waterfall braids, which are staggered across the side of the hair using carefully weaved sections.
A favourite at festivals, the look is currently popular with celebrities including Blake Lively and Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev, while embracing bohemian trends on the red carpet.
The Instagram feed also offers up intricate plaited up-dos that are perfect for brides and wedding guests, though the help of a skilled hairstylist might be needed to recreate the effect.
