American sensation and bookies' favourite Jordan Spieth is joined by countryman Dustin Johnson and Japanese star Hideki Matsuyama for the first two rounds of The Open at St Andrews this week.
Spieth, who pipped Johnson to the US Open title, is looking to keep his bid for a major slam on course after finishing ahead of the field at the Masters in April and at Chambers Bay last month. The trio will tee off at 9.33am on Thursday and 2.34pm the following day.
Jordan Spieth has Dustin Johnson and Hideki Matsuyama for company in the first two rounds of The Open
Tiger Woods has won the Claret Jug twice at the Old Course and was out for a practice on Monday
Louis Oosthuizen leads his fellow South Africans George Coetzee (centre) and Branden Grace on to the first
Tom Watson, who won four of his five Opens in Scotland, tees off during a practice round on Monday
Ernie Els, twice a winner of the Open Championship, stopped to sign a few autographs on Monday
Tiger Woods, who won two of his three Claret Jugs on the Old Course in 2000 and 2005, will play with the man who won it the last time the tournament came to this corner of Scotland, Louis Oosthuizen. Jason Day makes up their threeball and they are off at 9.55am for round one.
Rickie Fowler, like Spieth who won the John Deere Classic on Sunday, arrives at St Andrews on the back of a victory and the Scottish Open champion, who birdied three of the last four holes to win at Gullane, goes out with Justin Rose and Nick Faldo.
Thomas Bjorn, Greg Owen and Rod Pampling get the whole thing started at 6.32am on Thursday while Rory McIlroy, the world No 1, will have to be content with watching the action on television after injuring his ankle playing football.
