Helen has been with the Aston Villa footballer player for six years now and the birth marks the start of their little family.

Before announcing her pregnancy, the soap star had always been vocal about her desire to become a mother and raising a family.

However, in an interview earlier this year, she revealed that she has no plans to marry Scott, her partner of six years, and that the couple are focusing on raising their child.

'We'll definitely get married at some point, but I'm happy with the way things are at the moment', she told OK! magazine.

'I know a lot of women think about their weddings, but I've just dreamed about having a baby.'
