'Those are the two biggest records we’ve beat and proven with our methods.

'The other thing is: We’ve both made ‘em cry day one, brother! It was a tie!'

On the first show of the season contestants competed to get the choice as to who they would train with - Bob and Jillian or the unknown trainers.

Making their decision harder, those who chose to train with the unknowns were given four weeks immunity, while lose picking Bob and Jillian would get just one week.

The introduction of the new trainers followed the decision of Jillian Michaels to step down at the end of this season in order to pursue her dream of adopting a child.

On tonight's show there was also shock as two contestants actually GAINED Weight.

'It was deliberate, obviously. The only thing I could think about was those 1000s of people who wanted to be on this show. I was so offended.'

Dan was promptly sent home, leaving his brother to battle on alone.
