A honeymoon at last! Eddie Redmayne and wife Hannah Bagshawe stroll on the beach in St Tropez... seven months after tying the knot

They married in a Winter Wonderland-themed ceremony at private members' club Babington House in December.

But Eddie Redmayne's bride Hannah Bagshawe had to wait for a honeymoon as their was interrupted by awards season where her husband swept the board for his portrayal of theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything.

However, the 33-year-old actor made it up to his financial publicist wife as the pair were spotted strolling on the beach in St Tropez over the weekend.

Between his Oscar win and being awarded an OBE, Eddie Redmayne really has had a stellar year by anyone's standards. But now that they've finally made time for a honeymoon it's his wife Hannah Bagshawe's time to shine!

The newlyweds were spotted going for a stroll on the beach in St. Tropez and Hannah really had a glow about her. Not least because her navy playsuit was covered in super cute stars!

Hannah had a huge smile on her face as she and her husband kicked off their shoes to walk on the golden sand while the sun beat down on them.

She kept cool in a short navy and white dress and carried her wedges in her hands.

Eddie was casual in a blue shirt and white shorts, with both wearing sunglasses.

Eddie and Hannah, who started dating in 2012, married in a private ceremony in December.

According to a statement given to MailOnline, the duo enjoyed a candlelit ceremony at 5:30 pm local time which was attended by 'a small number of close family and friends'.

And the entire venue was lit with flickering flames as the bride walked down the aisle to meet her husband.

Redmayne wore a lilac shirt with a purple tie and grey waistcoat for the occasion. He also sported a pair of grey, pin-striped trousers and a pair of immaculate, patent-leather brogues.

Eddie and Hannah, who got engaged last summer after a two-year romance, are said to have organised a 'winter wonderland' themed ceremony produced by a special effects team at the private members country club, according to The Sun newspaper.

While the couple did not have a full honeymoon because of awards season, they did manage to fit in a brief trip away over the festive period.

Eddie told Ellen DeGeneres: 'We went skiing over Christmas. We went to the Alps, which was such a beautiful idea, but unfortunately there was no snow. But that was just an excuse to take long lunches, drink a lot of red wine, and have a lot of fondue.'

But it looked like it was worth the wait and the couple appeared happier than ever as they took a stroll in France.

The holiday marks a rare break to Redmayne who has already had two films released this year –The Theory of Everything on New Year’s Day and sci-fi adventure Jupiter Ascending in February. He has two more penned for release in the coming months, Thomas & Friends and The Danish Girl, in which he appears in drag.

He has also been announced as the star of upcoming JK Rowling adaptation Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which will be released in 2016.
