How low can you go! Malin Akerman stuns in plunging emerald green halterneck dress at Ant-Man New York City premiere

It may have been the premiere for the hotly anticipated comic-book movie, Ant-Man, but Malin Akerman stole the show.

The 37-year-old actress cut a gorgeous figure in a hunter-green dress when she attended the New York City premiere of the movie on Monday.

Possibly missing a bra and definitely rocking a low-cut neckline, Malin brought both elegance and risque glamour to the pre-premiere red carpet.

Her blonde hair cut short into a bob and styled dramatically to one side, Malin opted for heavy eye makeup matched with natural colours elsewhere on her face.

For jewellery, the Children's Hospital star had a long gold chain that disappeared into her dress, as well as a couple of metallic bracelets and rings.

It was the dress that really stood out for Malin though, a floor-length number in monochromatic green satin.

Straps tied around her neck, Malin showed some cleavage - and appeared to be without a bra - thanks to the low-cut V-neck.

The actress rose to fame after a series of roles including Watchmen, 27 Dresses, The Heartbreak Kid, and The Proposal.

In 2013, she landed the lead role of Kate Harrison in ABC's Trophy Wife, making her a well-known name in the TV community.

While that show only lasted for a single season, Malin has also appeared on Children's Hospital, Sin City Saints, and The Comeback.

Her next foray into television will come early in 2016, when she will co-star with Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis in the Showtime series, Billions.

As for Ant-Man, the Marvel Comics-based movie stars Paul Rudd, 46, and Michael Douglas, 70.

Those two men attended the premiere in suits and dress shirts - a pink-striped shirt for Michael and a white shirt with a yellow-silk tie for Paul.

In the movie, Paul plays a con-man named Scott Lang who takes over the mantle of Ant-Man from his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael).

Actors Bobby Cannavale and Andrew Rannells were among those who joined the stars on the red carpet.

Ant-Man will premiere on July 17.
