The Great Essex Bake Off! TOWIE's Ferne McCann, Lydia Bright and Chloe Sims give Mary Berry a run for her money as they film cookery competition

They've tried their hand at everything from pole-dancing to segway-riding in the past.

But it was time for the TOWIE girls - and James 'Arg' Argent - to showcase their domestic-goddess skills as they hosted the Great Essex Bake Off while filming the latest scenes of the ITVBe reality show on Tuesday.

Giving GBBO's Mary Berry a run for her money, Arg joined girlfriend Lydia Bright and her mum Debbie Douglas, as well as Chloe Sims, Ferne McCann and Carol Wright as the group battled it out for the star-baker crown.

Ferne offered a sneak-peek of the scene - which will air in an upcoming episode of the ITVBe reality series - on her Instagram page shortly after filming wrapped.

In the group shot, Lydia, Chloe, Debbie, Ferne and Carol showcased the fruits of their labour, after hours of slaving away in the kitchen.

With an apron-clad Arg standing behind them with his hands in the air, the female cast-members proudly posed with their variety of decorative baked goods.

'The Great Essex Bake Off,' Ferne simply captioned the image on the photo-sharing app.

While the rest of the group turned their hands to cake, the fashion and food blogger boasted a lemon verbena and chia seed loaf, which she seemed to have pulled off judging by the close-up shot she posted on Instagram.

However, viewers will have to wait and see who is crowned queen or king of the kitchen when the scenes air later in the month.
