Yolanda Foster remains positive in her fight against Lyme disease as she gets blood drawn in new Insta snap

Yolanda Foster continues to post inspirational messages on her Instagram account as she battles Lyme disease.

The 51-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared a picture Monday of herself getting blood drawn - needle in arm, hemoglobin flowing.

'Never let your emotions overpower your intelligence.....' Yolanda captioned the photo along with a slew of positive hashtags and a heart emoji.

Foster came down with Lyme disease in 2012, shortly after joining the cast of Bravo's The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills.

Since her diagnosis, the Dutch-born model has been very vocal about her condition and raising awareness of the disease through various avenues, including social media. 

Her search for relief from the debilitating symptoms - she said in January that she's unable to read or

write or watch TV - has led her to take sessions in a hyperbaric chamber..

Last week she shared an image of herself in the chamber with the caption: 'Back at work....' 

Along with health-related posts, the 51-year-old has apparently been feeling fairly nostalgic as the disease has forced her to face her own mortality.

Also on Monday, Yolanda took to Instagram to share a throwback snap of her and her son, Anwar.

The picture features a bikini-clad Yolanda as she kisses her baby son on the beach in 2000. The caption reads: 'Love is a demonstration not just a set of words or a feeling...'

Over the weekend, the Real Housewife shared a throwback snap of her and her three children from her former husband, property tycoon Mohamed Hadid. The couple were married from 1994 to 2000.

Yolanda, of course, is mom to supermodel sensations Gigi, 20, and Bella Hadid, 18, and son Anwar, 16, an aspiring music producer. The photo shows the family in 1999 in Holland and is captioned: 'It's the time you put in then that matters now....'

In the vintage snap, Yolanda is seen with her blonde hair tucked under a white cap smiling at the camera as she sits on a bench with her arms around her little ones.

Yolanda, who was born in The Netherlands, was a successful model before settling in California to start a family.

She went on to run a company that helps men and women with their romantic relationships.

And after her split from Mohamed Hadid, she tied the knot with music producer David Foster in 2011, who was previously married to Linda Thompson, the second wife of Caitlyn (formerly Bruce) Jenner.
