According to the famous Rolling Stones song, 'You Can't Always Get What You Want'. Well, it appears if you're LA Galaxy - you can.

As Steven Gerrard and his team-mates prepared for their US Open Cup trip to Salt Lake City in Utah, the club laid on a special surprise for the squad, chartering the Rolling Stones' private jet for the flight.

The iconic English rock band are enjoying a short break between gigs, and have lent their branded plane to the Galaxy before they head north of the border to Quebec, Canada for their final tour date on Wednesday.

And it appears the players were excited to be taking a ride on the jet, as new signing Gerrard posed for a picture with Robbie Keane in the Los Angeles sunshine.

A number of first-team players tweeted pictures of the plane, with Juninho adding a message, which read: 'The @LAGalaxy always surprising us'.

The California-based side face Salt Lake City in the quarter-final of the US Open knockout cup on Tuesday, and the winner will face either Houston Dynamo or Sporting Kansas City in the last four.

Gerrard made his debut for the Galaxy at the weekend, playing 45 minutes against Mexican side Club America in the International Champions' Cup.
