This is the adorable moment an NFL player's son excitedly sprang to action to dance to his favorite son.

TJ Smith, the 15-month-old son of 49ers receiver Torrey Smith, didn't waste a second jumping up when a popular hip-hop hit started playing.

The boy ditched his toy and leaped to his feet as soon as he heard the start of Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae) by teen sensation Silento.

TJ leaped into action and started bouncing up and down in anticipation of the song's popular dance moves in footage his dad uploaded to Facebook.

Even though at first he was so enthusiastic that he fell back down again, TJ was busting moves again in no time. 

A follow-up clip posted days later showed TJ leading other family members in the dance.

Smith, 26, was clearly proud of TJ's performance, noting that his 'whip' dance move was 'on beat and everything'. 

Watch Me, by 17-year-old Silento, has become an online sensation, with its official video being watched more than 36million times.

The singer has encouraged fans to submit videos of themselves doing the dance. One of the most popular, featuring kids not much older than TJ, has been viewed more times than Silento's original.

He caught the notice of the rapper himself as well, who re-posted a story about the clip.

It isn't the first time Smith's adorable son has hit the headlines. When he was just nine months old, TJ  won $5,000 in a baby contest run by the Gerber baby food brand, the Baltimore Sun reported.

His father played for the Baltimore Ravens for the first four years of his career, before switching to the San Francisco team for the 2015 season.

TJ is his first child with wife Chanel.
